Google I/O Extended is the community led counterpart to Google I/O, our annual Google led conference where the world hears about Google’s latest developer solutions, products, and technology.
For this first day, we reserved a day full of activities (with technologies) that help us remember the importance that physical activity and mental health have in our lives, not only as developers of Google technologies or technologies in general, but as human beings.
In less than 3 months, we had, in one of the universities of the country, based in Maputo, two young people attending Computer Science Engineering major, who committed suicide.
For us tech event organizers, the same - events - are not just about career development and learning a new programming language, but also about community and sharing.
We are not isolated beings and neither should we be. So this first part of our I/O 2023, is also going to be covering aspects related to mental health.
