Speakers

Carla Graham graduated from Western Illinois University in 2009 and worked for 8 years as a Software Engineer at State Farm Insurance before joining Shopbop in 2017. While at Shopbop, Carla has focused on the customer purchase experience and tax compliance. Outside of work, Carla spends time with her husband Trent and two young children, visiting local parks and reading children’s books (sometimes to children).

Adam Patterson graduated from the Milwaukee School of Engineering in 2008 as a Software Engineer and worked for 9 years in the Fintech industry before joining Shopbop in 2017. While at Shopbop, Adam has focused on customer returns and expanding Shopbop’s warehousing solutions. Outside of work, Adam spends time with his wife Rachel and two children at anime conventions and playing board games.

Carla and Adam share their experience from a recent multi-year project for their company, Shopbop, to build an online return experience. This presentation describes the challenges associated with overlapping responsibilities, complex launches and technical project leadership.
