Presentation details: Everyone knows Google Analytics it is a tool that has been around for years gathering data on millions of websites. It seems though most people aren’t aware that there is a whole suite of tools now that you can use along side Analytics for better tracking and reporting. Come get a quick overview of two of those products - Google Tag Manager and Google Data Studio.

You will get an understanding of how to track everything from javascript errors to what elements were visible on the page. You’ll also learn about using Data studio to build better reports on almost any data you have available to you including how to develop your own connectors to that data.

Dan Baran is the lead developer at Sun Chemical. He is focused on developing and maintaining their websites and apps. He is also the organizer of GDG Chicago. Technical related passions include data and data visualizations while other hobbies are collecting rock concert posters and traveling.
