2020 will be the year that will be marked by the global pandemic scenario that has devastated us all. Among the various changes and sudden changes that have emerged, in-person events suffered a big transformation that was taking place all over the world. How do communities prepare for this? How was the change/transformation from in-person events to online events? What are the pros and cons of this approach? Are online events here to stay?
These and many other issues will be addressed in a discussion between GDG Tech Sessions and Android Worldwide, as they are communities that emerged with the purpose of filling the lack of in-person events.
About Android Worldwide
Android Worldwide is an international collective of developer communities who like to put on a recurring special event for Android Devs, and related engineering specialties. This community aims to create highly engaging, inclusive, and fun experiences to help members learn, grow, and meet like-minded people, by their team of passionate developers!
I'm a digital product designer, leading design at Agrahyah Technologies, with a focus on user experience and conversational design, and the occasional foray into frontend web and mobile code. I evangelize inclusive design, accessible tech, and I'm passionate about communities, having spent the last 7 years organizing and the last 4 running GDG MAD. I also frequently speak at tech conferences and mentor product teams both independently as well as a Google for Startups mentor.
