About this event

Interested in web components, Polymer, HTML5 and the future of front-end development? You've come to the right place! Come on our next GDG Lviv's meetup on the 9th of December! The event will be hosted at the iHUB (5, Zamknena str).

We will talk about how to start using Web Components in your applications today, create new HTML elements and after that how to do the same with Polymer using leverage Paper Elements for quickly building a web application in the Material Design spirit.

So, why web components? Web development changed dramatically during the last years. With the enormous amount of JavaScript libraries and the new HTML5 standard, today it is easier to create rich internet applications (RIA). When building RIAs, you will probably want to reuse some of the web components you built. But how you can do that with the current state of HTML? One of the new and emerging standards in HTML5 is Web Components. The Web Components standard enables you to create reusable web components that include both HTML and JavaScript. And using these great Web components with Polymer will open you the door for building cool applications!!!
