Security on the Google Cloud Platform (Workshop) | The workshop's content will focus on how to achieve security on your own personal projects and projects that you may be working on in a professional capacity on Google Cloud and other CSPs, these will include native tooling within GCP and open source tools, principles, patterns and practices. Furthermore, we will talk about how Google achieves security across Google Cloud and its various products.

| Nina Ma - Navigating Neurodiversity in Tech: Embracing Differences for Success | Neurodiversity is an often-misunderstood topic in the workplace, and it can be especially challenging for individuals in the tech industry.
In this talk, I will provide insight into what it means to be neurodivergent, and how to create an inclusive and supportive work environment for neurodivergent individuals in tech. Drawing from my personal experiences as a neurodivergent individual, I will explore the strengths and challenges associated with different neurodivergent conditions such as ADHD, dyslexia and autism, etc., and how they can contribute to success in tech. |

| Isha Upadhyay, Ayesha Bhatti, and Christenica Malonzo - The problem of AI | There have been many cases where AI has shown bias amongst people with different backgrounds, or preferences for males over females. High bias can stem from multiple things including poor data results, preparation, or collection techniques. Training the AI algorithm with data that contains indirect prejudices can result in an algorithm with high bias which leads to inherently biased results.
Given the ever-increasing reliance on AI, including the recent success of the likes of ChatGPT and Microsoft’s improved Bing search engine, it is crucial we know how to integrate tech into our lives that does not perpetuate the same bias or discriminatory tendencies humans do. In this talk, we will challenge traditional AI practices by looking at how to build an unbiased and trustworthy AI with what is currently available in the tech space. |
