TALK 01 - Faster web apps with Firebase by Richie Foreman & Ali Kashefian, Software Engineers at Google

Having a performant web app is critical to the developers but it is hard to write apps which perform well on various device types. Quantifying performance and improve on it is another challenge. Using Firebase Performance Monitoring for the web, we can measure exactly where time is being spent, and where we need to optimize our app.

Ali’s bio:
Ali is a software engineer at Google. He has worked on Firebase Crash Reporting and was part of the team which launched Firebase Performance Monitoring. Outside work Ali enjoys photography and playing/watching basketball.

Richie’s bio:
Richie is a frontend UX Engineer at Google’s NYC office. He is the technical lead of the Firebase Console. Outside of work Richie enjoys cycling and playing guitar.
