IWD 2022 CELEBRATION is bringing together awesome developers and passionate tech women from around Limbe and for celebrating the women in our community, impacting the younger generation and contributing to our community as a whole and also sharing experiences. For the first time WTM Limbe will host the IWD event in the town of Limbe. It shall be a physical event, so come ready to learn new things.

International Women’s Day (IWD) occurs on March 8th every year. It marks a moment to celebrate and provide visibility for the incredible contributions of women around the world and is a call to action for accelerating gender parity.
So Women Techmakers organize the IWD event to promote young women in the community, to create connections, educate and inspire, and recognize that we still have a ways to go to close the gender gap between men and women in the field of technology.
For the last two years, living was not an easy task as we experience a global pandemic. The theme of this year which is, Progress not Perfection, is to encourage all women around the world that the importance is not to be perfect but to always make sure we are progressing no matter.
Our paths aren’t always linear, and we may come across seemingly impossible challenges, but when we celebrate #ProgressNotPerfection, we are celebrating all we’ve accomplished - big and small - and our inner strength and resilience that allowed us to get here.
