About this event

The Southern Alberta AI Conference 2024, on June 8-9 2024 (during AI Education month), centered around the theme "Exploring the Future of Artificial Intelligence," is a forum for examining AI's evolving role in our world. Organized by faculty and students from the University of Lethbridge Dhillon School of Business and the Computer Science Program, the conference is designed to facilitate a deep dive into AI's advancements and challenges. We extend an open invitation for presenters and attendees to contribute their unique perspectives, engage in thought-provoking discussions, and forge connections that drive the understanding and application of AI in diverse fields. This gathering is an ideal venue for academics, industry professionals, and students to share research, ideas, and innovations, fostering a collaborative environment crucial for AI advancement.

The Southern Alberta AI Conference 2024 will adopt a structured and efficient presentation format. Utilizing Zoom for connectivity, each presenter will be allotted a 20-minute slot for their presentation, followed by 10 minutes dedicated to questions and answers. Presentations will be grouped into sessions covering various AI-related topics. Strict adherence to these time limits is essential to maintain the schedule and ensure a smooth conference flow, allowing for a diverse range of topics and speakers to be accommodated within the program. While not required, for those wishing to share, submitted papers and handouts will be posted to the website following the conference.
