About this event

Our Speakers

1. Dr. Osa Omokaro is a User Experience Researcher at Google. Osa leads developer research across Asia, Africa, North America, and Europe to inform product strategy and innovation on Firebase. She received a PhD in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte; her innovative Goose Spotter app demonstrated the power of using participatory sensing mobile computing to act as early warning systems to mitigate oil spills and track their impact. Osa's work is published in top research journals and conferences such as Ubicomp, Ubicomm and PerCom.

Dr. Omokaro would be speaking on 'How to focus on the user: Research & the app development lifecycle'.

2. Miraziz Yusupov is a Firebase software engineer who works on Remote Config and A/B Testing. In the past year, he has led the efforts to release and open source new Android SDKs for both teams. Before working on Android, Aziz was part of the team that launched A/B Testing. In his free time, Aziz enjoys rock climbing, scuba diving, and watching basketball.

Aziz would be taking participants through building a web app from scratch with Firebase and Stackblitz's online editor.

The meetup would include code-labs, presentations as well as a fireside chat with the speakers.

Kindly come along with your laptop to make the most of the code-labs sessions.
