How do we grow accessibility champions in regions where awareness is still emerging? What happens when students learn not just the standards, but the human stories behind them?
In this live panel, hosted by A11Y Kuwait, four Master’s students (Maali AlFahad, Moneera Alhemdan, Salman Almutairi and Omar AlSabti) from Kuwait University share their personal and professional transformation after completing a graduate-level course in Web accessibility, usability, and ethics at the Information Science Department MSCIS program (Master of Science in Computing Information Systems), Kuwait University.
These part-time masters students are also full time working professionals and will reflect on how their understanding of disability, inclusion, and ethical design has evolved over the course timeline. They’ll discuss the tools and frameworks they’ve taken back to their workplaces, the practical impact of usability testing with people with disabilities, and their vision for creating more accessible tech across the region.
This panel is a celebration of learning, a showcase of grassroots leadership, and a call to action for all of us. Please join us.
This event is brought to you by Google Developer Group Kuwait (GDG Kuwait) in partnership with A11Y Kuwait (an accessibility awareness platform sponsored by Tech Connect Co.)
