As mobile developers with little or no experience in connecting a database to PHP and a server, we often find ourselves struggling to implement a side project idea with a complex backend. I have personally faced this a lot many times, until I discovered a way out with Cloud Firestore. With a little bit of understanding of Relational Databases and the working of NoSQL, it is easy to execute all the side projects we have dreamed of! This hands-on workshop will be an introduction into Firestore with iOS in Swift and hopefully will have a working application by the end of the workshop! You will be required to have a MacBook with Xcode 8.3 or higher.
