About the workshop

In this workshop we will build a Book Management Application with Angular using components, services, dependency injection, forms, Angular modules ,lazy loaded routes and more.

A high-performing database is crucial to any Application you build. Databases support the internal operations of companies and store interactions. This project will leverage Firebase and be guided on how to store and manage data.

By the end of this workshop you will have built a fully working Angular application you can extend into an enterprise application. You will also understand the power of firebase and how to integrate to your frontend application.

NB: Please note that this will be weekly workshop series for a month.

Audience and requirements

This workshop is beginner friendly, and or you already building Angular Projects. All requirements can be found in this GitHub repository

  • No Prior knowledge in Angular, however you MUST have strong foundation in JavaScript ft Typescript(optional).
  • Internet connectivity
  • BYOL(Bring your own Laptop).
  • Commitment to learn for the 1 Month period. The program will follow incremental approach of building project.

Set up instructions

You can code along if you like. If you plan to do so, please bring your own laptop with Google Chrome (Canary),

  • Git Installed, download GIT here
  • Latest version of Node.js, LTS.
  • Text editor of your choice WebStorm or Visual Studio Code installed.
  • Create and setup Firebase account.

You need unlimited Internet access (without group policies, corporate proxies or firewalls). In case of doubt, please bring your personal notebook with you.
