About this event

Each year International Women’s Day (IWD) is celebrated on March 8, with the first day being held in 1911. Thousands of events occur to mark the economic, political and social achievements of women. We want to make an event but on our passion let say tech. Organisations, governments, charities, educational institutions, women’s groups, corporations and the media celebrate the day.

This year’s theme  – which looks actively call out gender bias, discrimination and stereotyping in tech industry each time you see it.

Organisers of International Women’s Day are calling for people to post their #IWD2021 message on social media with your arms crossed in the #BreakTheBias pose to show solidarity, motivate others and to make International Women’s Day your day.

You can find the latest news, inspirational articles and events celebrating International Women’s Day below. If you have an event that you feel would benefit our members, you can promote this on WeAreTechWomen.
