About this event

Learn how to create your first Android app!

This free event is the first Study Jam session of 2016.  Study Jams are the in-person and online events hosted around Google courses on Udacity.  This year, we're starting with Android for Beginners.

The Android for Beginners course is geared toward anyone, whether you're just starting to develop or you're an expert programmer, that wants to learn how to create apps on Android.  There is a global online community of everyone participating in the Android for Beginners Study Jams as well a community of local participants in Kansas City metro area.

We'll be hosting in-person sessions on three Saturdays starting on 3/12.  At this session we'll go introducing Study Jams and the first lesson of the course.  Facilitators will be available to answer any questions you don't know or problems that you're stuck on.  At the second session on 3/19, we'll go over any questions or continue working together on lessons 2 and 3 as well as introduce the final projects.  The final in-person session on 4/2 will be final project presentations.

Between the in-person sessions, you're able to work on your own and ask questions to the Study Jams community.  We'll be holding a few online Hangouts during the week for anyone that wants some more "face-to-face" interaction and answers to any questions before the next in-person session.
