On the 30th of September 2017, GDG Uganda, a collaboration among seven(7) GDGs in the North, West and Central Uganda including GDG Kampala, GDG Makerere, GDG MUBS (Makerere University Business School), GDG UCU (Uganda Christian University), GDG SLAU (St. Lawrence University), GDG Gulu University and GDG Mbarara will bring together up to 400 techies, entrepreneurs, policy makers and industry players for the Annual DevFest event. DevFest Uganda 2017 will have different activities from speaker sessions, Codelabs, speaker sessions, startup Fireside chats and a Hackathon. GDG DevFest 2017 is aimed at equipping attendees with different skills (both technical and business) required for them to compete in the industry and also run successful companies. We shall also present opportunities available for organisations, companies to improve their businesses and developers who are interested in using Google platforms to develop software. Audience: Organisations, companies and institutions, Developers, Entrepreneurs, University students, Policy makers and Government. As part of the DevFest, we shall also host a Firebase AppFest bringing together 100 developers, where they will build an app in a day using Firebase and Cloud Functions. Join the AppFest.
