Abstracts
Talk 1: One Year of Kotlin at Txture - Insights from Practice
Kotlin is one of the latest in a long series of languages which target the JVM, and one of the top emerging languages. At Txture, we've been employing Kotlin in production for more than one year now. In this talk, we'll give some first-hand experiences, from using pure Kotlin in greenfield microservices to adding Kotlin to large existing Java projects. We will focus on the pros and cons and highlight potential pitfalls.

Talk 2: Coroutines for Android

Talk 3: Kotlin/JS and bringing Kotlin to the browser
Let's have a look at how we can use Kotlin to leverage one of the most potent and prominent platforms of the last decade: the browser.
We'll see how we can get started with writing applications that run in the browser while using our knowledge from Kotlin, how to work with frameworks, and how Kotlin and JavaScript can work together seamlessly. We'll also see how libraries can make web development with Kotlin a breeze – from concurrent applications with coroutines to painless communication supported by kotlinx.serialization.
With Kotlin/JS, we gain access to a whole new ecosystem!
