About this event

We would like to see all of us come together and create something that will be sustainable and supportive for the Hudson Valley Tech community, and beyond. We want to see an initial online meeting of HV Tech Ecosystem and include as many regional community leaders and participants as possible.

We will spend our time together as the facilitated brainstorming, using an Agile Open Space technique, and putting together a set of ideas to forward this community.

We've been meeting in person as a very local HVTech (Hudson Valley, NY) before the pandemic. We moved online when it stopped, and discovered we need to start from the ground. We learned how beneficial it is to find and serve similar minded people remote, location agnostic.

With all respect to the hyper-local community it used to be before - #HudsonValleyCanCode and our GDG Hudson chapter are moving forward to acknowledge the new reality, welcome new developers or those who are entering this field. We'd like to brainstorm what is needed.

What  an incredible contribution to everyone in the Hudson Valley area involved in tech in whatever way they are.

Let's work together to reinvigorate HVTech to once again, be a great resource for our extended community.

We will have a quick Intro at the beginning,

Always happy to provide some career guidance / counseling on your learning journey and objectives

We always want to do some fun hands-on practice using Code Wars - are you ready for it?

If you have your project you want to present, we will allocate some time for it - please comment below to let us know in advance!

Keep learning attitude: In such disruptive industry like tech we have to continue learning to get up to speed with the industry speed. Share with us what are your learning objectives, and how we can assist you with co-learning activities.

We are adding Study Jams - not to be missed - come to learn about it and discuss your goals and interests

We plan to add monthly networking mixer to discuss career paths and opportunities, resume critique and job search specifically, stay tuned
