we're excited to be hosting Sylvia Dieckmann again, a software engineer and Flutter GDE from South Africa who is currently visiting Hannover.
In this talk she will show us, how to integrate Gemini AI into an app.
Generative AI is on everybody's mind these days. This talk will introduce Gemini, Google's most powerful LLM to date. Sylvia will explore its capabilities in understanding and responding to complex information, and provide tips on how we as users and developers can improve our interactions with Gemini and other models.
To demonstrate the technical steps required to integrate Generative AI into a product, Sylvia will introduce her latest project WineSnob, a small Flutter app that uses the power of AI to assist with the hard task of sipping wine.
This talk will be in English and is suited for beginner and intermediate developers of any field. Sylvia will show some Flutter/Dart code but won't require a deeper understanding of these technologies.
Sylvia is a senior software engineer and/or engineering manager. Her preferred role includes some IT management but also enough hands-on development work to keep her dev skills sharp. Her main interest lies in exploring new technologies in the space of mobile apps and web technologies. She is currently playing with Flutter, Firebase, and different web frameworks but might change focus as new technologies pop up.
