Welcome and happy Women's Day! 

For this special occasion we'll host two female speakers and let our two Hannover meetups* join in on the fun. All genders and all tech skill-levels are welcome, talks will be in English.

To celebrate International Women's Day, we bring Hannover's Google Developer Group and Women Techmakers together to talk about a more and more important topic: How to build software, sustainably? We'll attack the topic from two ends: Irine Kokilashvili will talk about sustainability when working with the cloud, and Mira Jago will talk about sustainable web development.

Irine Kokilashvili is a Systems Engineer working for EPAM Systems. She is a DevOps Engineer by day and hobbyist programmer by night. She's coming a long way to visit us from Tbilisi, Georgia. In her talk she wants to explore our responsibility in sustainability as a cloud client. 

Mira Jago runs the software development agency Cuckoo Coding GmbH. She has been interested in sustainable web development lately, and will give us the lay of the land. What do we have to keep in mind when we design, develop and host websites, if we value the planet we're living on.

Each talk will last like half an hour, with plenty of time around to ask questions, share your own best practices and recommendations or simply chat with each other.

*The Google Developer Group (680 members) was founded by Mira Jago in 2017. A year later she co-founded the Women Techmakers Hannover with Jasmin Holzschuh, because there were so few women showing up at the aforementioned meetup. Now we're close to 400 members! We will publish this event under both groups, don't be confused. Please only sign up for it once. :)
