You've designed your first multi-platform MVP, tested it locally, and now you are ready to launch. In this talk, I will discuss in board strokes the steps required to build and ship the initial release to Apple's AppStore, Google's Play Store, and to a hosting site such as Firebase. I will start with a manual release process but will point out pitfalls and opportunities for automation and CI/CD integration in the process. Sylvia from GDG Capetown is visiting us in Hannover and will share some of her insights with us. She is a seasoned software engineer with interests in mobile/web development, client/server architectures, and scalable systems. Most recently, her focus has been on Flutter and Firebase with some native Android work thrown in for good measure. Sylvia has held many positions over the years, most recently as technical manager in the South African non-profit sector, but in 2020 she returned to her roots as freelance app developer. She grew up not far from Hannover but now lives in Cape Town, South Africa, where she is an active member of the developer community and leads the local GDG chapter.
