Women Techmakers George Town will be holding an online DevFest 2020 this year, alongside our GDG and WTM friends from Malaysia and Singapore!

In this virtual workshop, we aim to explore more in-depth into development with Flutter as well as a discussion on UI/UX. There will be two sessions: Yong Shean speaking on the topic of Test-Driven Development with Flutter, and a special interview with Chee Seng from Stampede on the topic of UI/UX.

Session 1: Writing tests first allows one to be goal-driven when writing the implementation, and can safely refactor from there with peace of mind. This session describes how to apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) when developing a mobile application with Flutter and other packages in the Dart ecosystem. It also introduces a few tips and tricks to make writing tests a breeze.

Session 2: Job seeking is a long process, especially in this Covid-19 season. It is also a different thing after you score that golden interview as it is another different challenge of the entire process. In this session, Chee Seng will be sharing about his experiences being an interviewee in design interviews and the lessons that he has learned.
