Course Description:
The course will introduce students to Kotlin programming. It assumes that students know the basics of types (integers, strings, and boolean) and fundamental control structures in procedural programming (loops, assignment statements, conditional expressions). It will focus on more sophisticated features such as design of classes, interfaces.

Course outcomes:

  • Understand the concepts of the Kotlin language
  • Use IntelliJ, the popular Java (and Kotlin) IDE, to write code
  • Understand fundamentals of programming such as variables, conditional and iterative execution, methods, etc.
  • Have the ability to write a computer program to solve specific problems.
