After the massive success of our Docker Birthday celebrations, the team has organised our next event for developers of all backgrounds around Galway - An Introduction to Go Programming with Michael Hausenblas!

Open to anyone with a background in code, the team has prepared a series of codelabs at beginner and intermediate levels with the aim of introducing developers to #Golang. 

Go is a clean, compiled language with modern features. This will be an opportunity for seasoned developers to showcase some of the projects they have built using Go and we will be examining what local developers are using Go for in Industry.

A team of mentors fluent in Go will be on hand to help and advise, the aim is to collaborate and prepare a small project by the end of the workshop that each group can  showcase at follow on events.

Hosted in the Workbench on Mainguard Street, our doors open at from 6pm to start the first workshops at 6:15pm, finishing at 9:00pm with food and coffee supplied throughout. We hope to see you all there, and please feel free to bring along friends and work colleagues.
