Join our GDG Galway community for a new DevTalk session! This event will take place at the Galway Technology Centre in Mervue Business Park. Coffee and tea with biscuits will be served to our attendees courtesy of our fantastic venue!

On the program for this session, we will start with a codelab around MongoDB and REST APIs. During this codelab, we will install and configure MongoDB, query our database on NodeJS and build a simple API to read and write data to our database. We will also take this opportunity to discuss the differences between NoSQL and SQL, best practices when building a REST API and more!

Following this first codelab, we'll continue our trip into React with another codelab. We'll discuss component lifecycle methods, and we will perform some HTTP requests to fill our app with "external" data.

If you want to fully enjoy the experience, don't forget to bring your laptops and charges to be able follow our codelabs!
