The GEE Developer Community Nairobi, in collaboration with MapBiomas Brazil, is initiating the MapBiomas Kenya Project. This effort aims to build Kenya’s first open and collaborative land use and land cover mapping platform. The project will focus on key thematic areas including Forests and Water, Agriculture/Cropland, Pasture (Grassland, Rangeland, Shrubland, Bareland), and Built-up/Urban areas. By leveraging remote sensing, EE cloud computing, and collaborative networks, MapBiomas Kenya seeks to generate annual, consistent, and accessible data to support research, conservation, and sustainable land management. We invite stakeholders, researchers, and organizations to express their interest in contributing to this initiative.
Please fill in your details in this MapBiomas Project form if interested by 20th Sep. We'll provide more details to the registrants soonest.
