4:00 PM	Welcome and Google I/O Recap
4:15 PM	Improve your Multi-Factor Auth with Firebase and Vonage APIs	Amanda Cavallaro is a Google Developer Expert in Firebase and ML, and Developer Advocate Vonage. In this talk, Amanda Cavallaro will demonstrate using Firebase Cloud Functions to handle backend logic, Firestore for storing user data and verification requests, Firebase Emulators for testing, and Firebase Hosting to serve the web application. She will use the Vonage APIs to detect and verify SIM swaps through SMS. The demo application includes a simple bank dashboard and a login form. If the SIM Swap API detects that a phone number was swapped recently, the verification code will not be sent, and additional security measures will be applied. A verification code will be sent via the Verify v2 API to authenticate the user if no recent swap is detected.
4:50 PM	Using Gen AI features powered by your app's data with Firebase	Laura Morinigo is a Google Developer Expert for Firebase, and Developer Advocate at Samsung Electronics. Laura is a software developer, advocate, and mentor. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and connecting with different tech communities around the world. Thanks to her contribution she has been recognized as a Google Developer Expert, Woman Techmakers Ambassador and a United Nations delegate for the UK. As a mentor, she helped startups participating in accelerator programs like Google Launchpad and the World Food Programme by the United Nations. Laura will introduce us to the benefits of Generative AI applications with Firebase using the power of your application's data.
5:25 PM	UX+AI: Mastering the UX of AI-Powered Products	Adi Mazor Kario is a Google Developer Expert in AI/ML. Adi empowers tech companies to lead the market with unbeatable products. With over two decades of expertise in Strategy, Product, Design, and AI, she has been a key contributor to the success of numerous startups and industry giants like IBM, Intel, Google, and Waze. Adi's academic credentials include a BA in Design, an MSc in Cognitive Science, and over a decade as a mentor at the Google Accelerator. Adi will share key principles for designing intuitive, engaging, and delightful user experiences for AI-powered products, and will review key learnings from AI products’ UX use case examples.
