Welcome to our hub for the Google Hash Code. Sign ups for the Online Qualification round open in early January 2019. Registration is free of charge and will close on 26th February 2019 at 18:00 CET.

Hash Code is a team programming competition organised by GDG Edinburgh for students and industry professionals across the universities in Scotland's capital.

You pick your team and programming language, and Google picks an engineering problem for you to solve. For each round of the competition we’ll present a problem (see past problems here) and your team will write a program that generates a solution.

Top scoring teams will win cool Google prizes, because of course you can’t host a programming competition without something to work for!

Online qualification round on Thursday, 28 February 2019 from 18:30 to 22:30.

18:30 - The team system closes & the task is announced on our live stream.
18:45 - The competition starts & the problem statement is released on the Judge System. Take pictures and share them in our Google+ community.
10:30 - The scoreboard freezes in place for the rest of the contest to add suspense.
22:30 - The Judge System officially closes.
22:30 - Closing live stream to share highlights and announcement of top teams.
