International Women’s Day (IWD) is Women Techmakers’ largest annual event campaign, where Ambassadors host events all around the world. From big summits to smaller, more intimate gatherings, IWD is a time to host events that create connections, educate, and inspire your tech community. IWD is also a way in which we support our mission of building a world where all women thrive in tech.

About this event

The WTM IWD "I Dare to Be________ in 2023" festival will be the first of its type in Dutse, Jigawa. We are hoping  to gather more than 300 participants, not only women in tech but also women in tech entrepreneurship, from both within and outside our community, to share, connect, educate, and inspire our tech community.

IWD is also a way in which we support our mission of building a world where all women thrive in tech.

As the theme implies, I dare to Be... every women is dare to be any of the following 

  • Bold
  • Resilient
  • Innovative
  • Strong
  • Brave
  • Different
  • Unapologetic
  • exceptional

And many more dare to be………
