5:00 AM	Introduction	The Introduction session will formally welcome all attendees to Build with AI Davao 2024, providing an overview of the event's schedule and objectives. This segment will set the tone for the day, emphasizing the importance of the hands-on learning experiences that will follow.
5:10 AM	Opening Remarks	The opening remarks will highlight the significance of AI technology in today's digital landscape and the unique opportunities that the event presents for personal and professional growth in the field of AI.
5:20 AM	Icebreaker	An icebreaker activity will be conducted to energize the crowd and encourage participants to mingle. This fun, engaging session is designed to break down barriers among attendees, fostering a more open and interactive environment for the rest of the event.
5:30 AM	Codelabs: Getting Started with Gemini (Python)	This introductory session is designed for developers who want to start utilizing Google's Gemini API. Participants will set up their development environments for accessing Gemini, learning to generate text responses from text and multimodal inputs using Gemini's large language models. The workshop will also cover the creation of multi-turn conversations (chat) and the use of embeddings for enhancing the models' contextual understanding. This practical experience aims to empower participants with the skills to integrate AI into their applications effectively.
6:45 AM	Break and Airing of Sponsor Promotion Videos	During the break, attendees can relax and network while also viewing promotional videos from our sponsors. This segment provides sponsors a dedicated time to showcase their products and services, enhancing their visibility and engagement with the audience.
7:00 AM	Build a Scalable Gemini Powered Serverless App	In this workshop, attendees will explore the capabilities of Google's Gemini, a generative AI model suite designed for multimodal use cases. The session will guide participants through developing a Python application using the Streamlit framework to create a user-friendly interface. Participants will also learn to integrate the Vertex AI SDK to interact with Gemini 1.0 Pro and Gemini 1.0 Pro Vision models, enabling them to handle both textual and visual data. The workshop culminates in containerizing the application and deploying it on Cloud Run, demonstrating how to bring a scalable serverless application to production.
