The Virtual Reality (VR) & Internet of things (IoT) Hackathon is an international event that brings together developers, designers, innovators, thinkers, hackers, and implementers to solve problems in Africa. The event involves software development, graphic design, hardware development, program innovation, etc. to develop solutions, with the aim of tackling a proposed challenge.

The proposed solutions will be the ones that involves the use of Virtual Reality (VR) technologies and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies.

The hackathon is hosted by Sahara Sparks in collaboration with Solve.studio, GDG Dar es Salaam and GDG Mwanza.

Prior knowledge about Virtual reality and Internet of things is of value but not a requirement.
