GDG Dallas
Thu, Jul 12, 2018, 6:30 PM (CDT)

About this event

Google's Dagger 2 library is a dependency injection library for Java and Android applications. In this talk, we'll cover what dependency injection is, why you'd want to use a library for it, and how to leverage dagger 2 in your android applications to simplify your application code and to enable some neat testing tricks (spoiler: stubbing and hermetic UI tests).

Presenter Bio:
Matt Dupree is a wannabe philosophy professor turned wannabe tech entrepreneur. He works at a Smart Lock startup in Orlando, Florida. He's passionate about testing and architecture and tries to speak and write on these subjects when he can.

Doors Open at 6:30 PM, presentation starts at 7:00 PM. The doors from the parking garage automatically lock at 7 PM, so you may be delayed waiting for security to open the doors if you arrive after 7 PM.

Food will be provided at 6:30, but due to unreliable RSVP counts, we only get enough for about 20 people. Come early to make sure you get some!
