About this event

Welcome again! We hope you enjoyed the first trip to the exciting world of CSS, last time we learned the theory behind CSS layouts, but now it's time to put that knowledge into practice.

In this Tech talk we are going hands-on using the power of FlexBox and CSS-Grid to create a modern responsive layout, something that you can actually use in your projects. We will be starting with the HTML markup and then we are going to add the css styles step by step so you can learn by doing. Don’t worry if you couldn’t make it to the first talk, we are going to start with a quick recap of what is FlexBox and CSS Grid, just enough to be comfortable to start creating your layout.

We strongly encourage you to bring your laptop on because we are going to write code! You don’t need to install anything special, we are going to do that on CodePen, so get ready to dive deep in the exciting world of CSS creating epic layouts, the modern way!

Our Speaker:
Moises Pedraza, a Front-End developer born in Mexico, is a loyal fan of clean code, good practices, CSS, JavaScript and Dr Pepper Light. He started his journey as a developer back in 1996, even before the dot com bubble, trying to share his illustrations with the world through a Geocities page.

Here in Dallas TX, Moises found a new home in Sngular USA working as a Senior Front-End Developer.

Doors will open at 6:30, and food & drinks will be provided.
