Identifying potential problems early in the development process can save significant time and effort later on. Without proper safeguards, minor errors can snowball into much larger issues. Static analysis is one tool that can act as a safety net.
In this talk, we will look at specific situations where static analysis can help, demonstrate how easy it is to integrate with minimal configuration, and discuss the limitations and challenges of using static analysis in the development process.

An interactive session where we'll walk you through your first steps into Nix - a tool that makes managing development environments easier. We'll cover essential concepts in plain English, provide a handy "starter pack" of knowledge, show live demos of practical commands, share real-world examples, and offer tips for navigating the Nix ecosystem, all while keeping things approachable for beginners.
Our goal is to make Nix less intimidating by focusing on just what you need to get started. Although I'm not a Nix expert by any means (just a fellow developer sharing what I've learned so far), you'll walk away with a clear picture of how the Nix ecosystem fits together and whether it might work for your projects.
