We had made Hour Of Code activities with around 20 kids of little Wolfes of Scouts group , age 8 - 10 years. we had applied 3 dinamics: Binary Bracelets where we teach about binary codes and building bracelets, Graph Programming where we show how to draw in pixel art, and then code the draw and after. decode to recreate the original draw.  and we had made the Human Robot maze, using code cards.

About this event

Hour of Code Is a Code.org initiative to foment and create interest in anybody, mainly kids about computer science. Event starts 1 November to 18 December. This is our first Hour of Code event, realized with little wolves of 15º SC Jacoritaba Scouts Group, in Brazil. we intent to made this to kids of all elementary school in Corupa as well.

Agenda

Basic Science Computer and Binary System Explanation	we had introduce the basics about computer science and how binary system works.
Binay Bracelets	After learn about binary code, kids could check your name initials in the wall, choose 2 beads colors and then build their own binary bracelets.
Human Robot Maze	we had separate kids in 2 groups, and created 2 robot maze arenas. so we put some obstacles and kids had to create an algorithm for the robot reach to the objective place. kids had used direction cards to make it and loop cards to make the code shorter.
Graph Paper Programming	in here we show in a ludic way about pixel art, how pixel works and how printer works.so we divided kids in 3 groups. Ilustrator that Draw the art, Computer that code the draw and print that decode the algorithm to reacreate the original draw.
