About this event

The Google Developer Group Cologne/Bonn hosts it's February Meetup at Spaces Cologne. It will happen on Monday 17. Feb, right before Cologne descends into chaos during Karnival 🎉.

Oyebanji Jacob Mayowa aka PyJac will introduce us to Domain Driven Design and how he uses it to build Event Driven Microservices in Java at his day to day job at Saloodo.

Our second speaker is Randy Gupta. For the last decade, he organizes our neighbor chapter GDG Düsseldorf ❤️
Randy, a Google Developer Expert for Cloud, will introduce us to the world of Kubernetes with his talk: Going Serverless with Knative and Cloudrun.
Knative is a developer friendly project build on top of kubernetes and istio that allows developers to deploy code directly to the cluster, run and revision API’s even with zero replicas scaling on demand. This presentation will discuss and demonstrate the features of Knative and Cloudrun.

Agenda:
18:30 - 19:00 - Get together
19:00 - 19:45 - Talk #1 Using DDD to build Event Driven Microservices
19:45 - 20:00 - Drinks & chat
20:00 - 20:45 - Talk #2 Going Serverless with Knative and Cloudrun
