If you already have a business you may use this methodology to improve an existing service, product or even your website. Design Thinking isn’t just for coming up with the next great product or business, it should be an important part of how you connect with your customers now and in the future!
10:00 AM	Building AI for Everyone / Reem Mahmoud	With Artificial Intelligence’s presence in our day to day lives and its direct impact on daily decisions we take, how can we ensure that these decisions embody our personal choices, preferences, beliefs, and culture? We discuss the challenges in fairness and trust of AI technology from an end-user perspective and provide insights into how engineers of this technology can ensure that they are building solutions that correctly and fairly represent our entire world.

We’ll spend time thinking through how you can re-contextualize your own strengths, skills, and experiences and how all this factors the unique value you provide. You’ll walk away from this hour with a first draft of a bio you can use for your LinkedIn, professional website, cover letter or wherever you’re looking to share who you are and why you’re amazing.
11:30 AM	Practical Animations with MotionLayout / Layale Matta	MotionLayout is a new animation tool built into ConstraintLayout 2.0 that lets you easily create animations on Android. In this session, Layale will cover the basics of MotionLayout and how to get started with it using the Motion Editor in Android Studio to quickly add motion to your application!

12:30 PM	Productionising ML Systems / Larissa Suzuki, Google	From writing your ML to serving reliable ML apps to customers there are many steps and hurdles to overcome. This talk will cover Open Source technologies and the steps in the journey of building, managing and deploying portable, scalable machine learning (ML) workflows based on Docker containers on K8S.
1:00 PM	Challenges of deep learning in limited data domains / Julia El Zini	Although deep networks have demonstrated remarkable achievements, such networks require large amounts of training data to achieve their desired performances. The heavy reliance on precise and abundant data makes deep learning algorithms vulnerable to overfitting. Moreover, some domains such as medicine or law do not have the luxury of providing large datasets because of the annotation costs or the scarcity of data. In this talk, we investigate general and domain-specific techniques that can be used to address the challenges in limited-data domains. These techniques have demonstrated their efficacy in different tasks such as medical imagery, speech generation and remote sensing applications.

Through Marie-reine’s evidence based practices and Christina’s 7 year experience in the HR field, they will provide tips on how to use the voice to sound more confident, assertive, and influential in day-to-day communication with co-workers and team members.
