• What we'll do Places are limited (20 seats), and will be on basis of first come first serve. Priority will be given for Lamba Lab Members (extra 10 seats reserved for them). Beginners are welcomed, but basic knowledge in networks and concepts of programming are preferred. • What to bring
We will be running a small workshop to explore the ESP8266 board and its use in IoT applications. 2 applications will be done: 1) application of WiFi geolocator using Google Maps Geolocator API 2) application via ThingSpeak for smart and remote monitoring of plants. Hardware will be supplied by us, but please bring your laptops with Arduino ver 1.8.5 installed. Also please manage the boards to install the ESP8266 chipset package, and install the CH341SER driver beforehand. If possible, also add the zipped libraries ESP8266WiFi.zip, ESPWifiLocation.zip and ThingSpeak.zip from GitHub.
