This event will introduce what is IoT and how it is used nowadays in the field of health care. It will then explore current medical equipment and products based on IoT (international products and local start-ups). A demo of measuring ECG (electrocardiogram) signal with Arduino NodeMCU and Thingspeak will follow. Finally, a hands-on workshop on reading pulse oximetry with Arduino Wemos D1 Mini, Thingspeak and IFTTT will be given.

• What to bring
Hardware will be supplied by us, but please bring your laptops with Arduino ver 1.8.5 installed. Also please manage the boards to install the ESP8266 chipset package, and install the CH341SER driver beforehand. If possible, also add the zipped libraries ESP8266WiFi.zip and ThingSpeak.zip from GitHub. Further more, please start an account on IFTTT platform (Webhooks connected), and an account on Thingspeak.

Beginners are welcomed, but basic knowledge in networks and concepts of programming are preferred.
