And opportunities to connect with passionate colleagues from the tech industry, and of course Networking drinks and snacks!

Riham is a computer science student, Mentor at Google Developer Student Clubs - Lebanese University chapter, ambassador at Google Women Tech Makers program and organizer at GDG Coast Lebanon.
Dr. Nadine Abbas is an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science and Mathematics department at the Lebanese American University (LAU). She earned a BE degree in Computer and Communication Engineering from Notre Dame University (NDU) in 2008. She received her M.E. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the American University of Beirut (AUB) in 2011 and 2017, respectively. Dr. Abbas has received several awards including a visiting researcher position in 2012 at Intel Corporation USA, in addition to a scholarship from the Lebanese National Council for Scientific Research 2015-2017, and NDU’s Engineering Research Innovation Award in 2008. She serves as the Membership Development officer of the IEEE Lebanon Section, the Vice Chair of the IEEE WIE Lebanon, the Membership Development officer of the IEEE Communication Society Lebanon, and the Technical Lead at Beirut AI. Her research interests include mobile edge computing and wireless communications.

Dr. Sirine Taleb graduated as a computer and communications engineer from the American University of Beirut (AUB), Lebanon, in 2012. In 2017, she received her Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) - Machine Learning. She is a researcher and a university instructor of machine learning and data science courses. Dr. Taleb is also the capstone supervisor for the Master’s in Business Analytics (MSBA) program at the Suliman S. Olayan School of Business (OSB) at AUB.
Dr. Taleb's research focuses on the application of machine learning and data analytics in various areas such as smart buildings, mobile computing, energy efficiency, and all their interdisciplinary applications to recognize context. She has published several publications in top-tier journals and conference proceedings including IEEE Transactions. She has delivered lightning talks on data science and machine learning especially after joining the Science to Data Science (S2DS) bootcamp in London in 2018 where she worked with a FinTech company.
Dr. Sirine is part of several national and international women and youth initiatives including IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Lebanon Section, National Association for Science and Research (NASR), and Arab Women in Computing (ArabWIC). She aims to help women find their way into STEM fields.
