About this event

Flutter is Google’s UI toolkit for building beautiful, natively compiled applications for mobile, web and desktop from a single codebase.

Join us for a day of creation and collaboration with the world, broadcasted live from Brooklyn NY.

With viewing parties around the world, everyone can be a part of this interactive event that focuses on sharing ideas, experimenting and crafting beautiful experiences across devices.

We’ll showcase the latest from Google Design and Flutter, Google’s free and open source UI toolkit to build beautiful, natively compiled applications for mobile, web, and desktop - all from a single codebase.

Flutter is Google’s portable UI kit for crafting high-quality native interfaces on iOS and Android in record time. Flutter works with existing code, is used by developers and organizations around the world, and is free and open source.

Agenda:
18:30 - 19:00 reception
19:00 - 19:30 Watch Flutter Interact Keynote
19:30 - 20:00 Real life challenges of Flutter - a presentation about what does it mean to work with Flutter on a day to day basis
19:30 - 21:00 Dartpad Playthings Activity (codelab)

The presentation and codelab will be hosted by Tobias Heidingsfeld, an independent software developer for apps and games with nine years of experience. He tried various cross platform tools (Ionic, React native, Adobe AIR) and is working exclusively with Flutter since 1 year.

Note:
Bring a laptop! The codelab will run on all of the latest versions of the popular browsers. For the best experience, the laptop should have Flutter installed on it prior to starting the codelab to save time. Windows/Linux/Mac would all be fine.
