Title: GenAI: Stories That Come to Life. Personalized Kids Stories on Rails with Vertex AI

Description: Ever wondered if GenAI can create customised kids stories and also illustrate them? How about translating them to your favourite language, and read them loud for you in Spanish, Japanese, even German? All of this is possible through Google Cloud APIs. In this blast from the past, Riccardo unites latest Google GenAI technologies with an old yet powerful framework (Ruby on Rails) to demonstrate:

How to use Vertex AI to create stories, summarise them and create contextual images .

Automated CI/CD: a push to main on Github, Cloud Build triggers a latest version deployment to Cloud Run (using Secrets Manager to pull Rails/App/ JSON KEYs). If no errors, traffic is diverted to the latest version.

Upload images and audio to GCS via ActiveStorage gem.

Google Translate APIs and Text to Speech API to add the i18n and sound vibe to it.
