Google Developer Group (GDG) Cloud Sherbrooke invites you to attend the annual Women Techmakers Sherbrooke event, which will be held on Saturday, March 26 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Faculty of Science Auditorium (D2-1060) on the main campus. The event aims to promote women in science. Presentations on a variety of topics (e.g., artificial intelligence, bioinformatics, cloud computing), workshops, and networking await you!

Aleksandr Koshkarov - The No-code approach: how to prototype applications without coding	Entrepreneurship plays a big role in society and we see the emergence of new startups that develop digital services. In this presentation, we will discuss aspects of using the No-code approach to develop prototypes and MVPs of digital products without using traditional programming, which opens up great opportunities for everyone. We'll look at cases of creating websites, web services, and mobile apps, and we'll discuss the possibilities of developing AI without coding.
Nancy Badran - Enjeux des femmes en pandémies	[FR] La pandémie a touché la majorité des gens, mais on ne parle pas assez de son impact sur la vie des femmes. S'occuper des tâches ménagères, des enfants et de leur travail tout en étant confinées pendant la majeure partie des deux dernières années a changé de nombreux aspects de leur vie. Nous ne pouvons nier le fait qu'elles ont réussi à s'adapter de manière surprenante et à surmonter ces obstacles, aidant ainsi la société à évoluer à grands pas en ces temps difficiles. [EN] The pandemic has affected the majority of people, but not enough is said about its impact on the lives of women. Taking care of household chores, children, and their jobs while being confined for most of the last two years has changed many aspects of their lives. We cannot deny the fact that they have managed to adapt in an amazing way and overcome these obstacles, helping society to evolve in leaps and bounds during these difficult times.

Nadia Tahiri - The benefits and dangers of artificial intelligence
Aleksandr Koshkarov - No-code AI + Android App: prototyping an application based on computer vision	Artificial Intelligence and machine learning are actively entering our lives and in this context it is important for us to understand how these technologies work and how we can use them. This can be taught using No-code tools. In the master class we will consider one of the computer vision tasks for image classification, train a machine learning model using the service from Google, save the model and try to implement it in a mobile application based on Android.
Wanlin Li - When code meets biology -- Getting started with bioinformatics	Are you a biologist learning to code? Are you a computer scientist who solves biological problems? If you answered yes to one of these questions, then this discussion will be perfect for you. I will summarize the challenges we may encounter in interdisciplinary learning from the perspective of a biologist and a computer scientist, respectively. I will also share some practical resources that I have found in the last two years of bioinformatics learning.
