Nancy Badran est titulaire d'une maîtrise en informatique et d'un DESS en bio-informatique de l'Université du Québec à Montréal. Elle a longuement travaillé avec le Dr Nadia Tahiri sur des recherches visant à développer un nouvel algorithme bio-informatique pour détecter les gènes des mammifères responsables de leur adaptation à des environnements géographiques spécifiques. Elle a été recrutée par le gouvernement du Canada à Ottawa en tant qu'analyste de données. Elle a plusieurs années d'expérience dans l'informatique en nuage, la migration des données vers le nuage.
Aleksandr is a PhD student at the University of Sherbrooke, Department of Information Technology. He has a Master of Science in Data Science degree (The University of Sheffield, UK) and conducts research in bioinformatics and machine learning. Aleksandr's professional interests include artificial intelligence, teaching, and No-code and Low-code technologies.
Wanlin Li (Quebec) holds a Ph.D. in genetics and crop breeding, a master’s degree in biochemistry and molecular biology, and a DESS in bioinformatics. Her dream of becoming a node on the interdisciplinary network brings her to the computer science field. Therefore, she is currently doing a master's degree in computer science with a focus on bioinformatics at Sherbrooke University. Her research is supervised by Nadia Tahiri. Through her training and previous experiences, she has a good knowledge of machine learning algorithms, phylogeography, and the workflow of next-generation sequencing (NGS).
