Chatbots are the new “it” – again. We have created Ada - a chatbot for Computas HR department, based on Google Cloud technology. We take a peek at chatbots now and then, some of the backend technology they use, why they (still) can be so stupid and hints on how to avoid pitfalls when designing a bot. We demonstrate Ada and take a deeper dive into her code.

About Lotta Nordling

Computer linguist and Principal engineer at Computas with experience from 11 years in the IT business, with my main experience from semantic technology, chatbots (old and new), search, NLP, AI, databases, webservices. I’m no front end person, and I’m not impressed by cool new frameworks and libraries for their own sake. I’m primarily a problem solver, and like to go to the core of a solution.

During my spare time I nourish my creative side by designing LARPs and geek jewellery (memory card necklaces etc). I’m also a mother, vegetarian and passionate about environmental issues.
