NLP is hard. Deep learning makes it less hard to do better than we ever did before. In this talk we'll cover the limitations of "classical" methods for common NLP tasks and explore how deep learning has overcome them. Finally, we'll look at some of the most mind blowing outputs from recent results and dive into how deep learning enabled them. This talk is aimed at a broad but technically comfortable crowed, no deep learning experience or heavy math required.

Tal Perry is founder of LightTag (http://lighttag.io/), a text annotation platform as well as a Google developer expert in machine learning. Previously, Tal was a data scientist at Citi focusing on NLP, and CTO of Superfly.

He holds a B.Sc. in mathematics from Tel Aviv university and lives in Berlin with two dogs, a cat and an amazing partner.
