5:00 PM	🎤 Danial Dehkordi - Redefining Code Development Environments: Secure, Seamless, and Browser based	In this talk, we will explore how enterprises can improve developers’ happiness while enhancing security by using remote workspaces. Although Virtual Desktop Infrastructures (VDIs) provide centrally managed workspaces, they suffer from high costs, poor user experience, and various vulnerabilities. We’ll demonstrate a better alternative: web-based Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) running on modern infrastructure, where developers can enjoy a seamless, low-latency remote code development environment accessed through the browser. We'll also illustrate how the remote workspace browser session can be secured using a zero-trust access model enforced through Google’s Chrome Enterprise Premium (CEP). CEP’s fine-grained Data Loss Prevention (DLP) features offer a level of protection for enterprise intellectual property that VDIs may not fully achieve. The combination of secured infrastructure, a browser-based IDE, and zero-trust access policies not only enhances developer satisfaction and productivity, but also positions enterprises at the forefront of IP protection and data security. This is the next generation of development environments—secure, seamless and accessible from web browsers.

We'll achieve a comprehensive understanding of the consequences of using different policy types. Then, we will do a quick overview of Cloud Armor capabilities. Finally, the talk will conclude with lessons learned from major projects, covering common mistakes and how to avoid them.
