International Women’s Day (IWD) occurs on March 8th every year. It marks a moment to celebrate and provide visibility for the incredible contributions of women around the world and is a call to action for accelerating gender parity. IWD is WTM annual event campaign where we aim to that create connections, educate and inspire, and recognize that we still have a ways to go to close the gender gap.

Jazmine Calma is GDG Cloud Manila's co-lead and WTM ambassador. She is a Computer Engineering graduate from Asia Pacific College and has trained in Google's Women Developer Academy. She has certifications from Cisco, Google, and ISTQB, and is currently working for Kollab as a Quality Assurance Engineer.
Kavika is an emerging global leader and has proved her leadership skills by giving back to her community at every opportunity. She has associated and worked with several technological and financial giants such as Google, Microsoft, Ernst and Young (EY) as a cyber security analyst, and also hosted numerous student programs in collaboration with her university to bridge the gap between university education and industry skill requirements. With the motto to spread cyber awareness and educate each sector of the population, she is actively involved in Non-profit organizations as a key speaker for Digital Literacy among the elderly, led STEM Programs focused on empowering more girl students to take STEM as a career, and won the Kaspersky Secur'IT Cup 2020, representing Australia on an international level. She has also written articles and recorded podcasts on topics such as Blockchain technology, Human Behaviour in Technology, Cybercrime & Myths, Women in Security, Privacy Paradox and much more. She is a high performing university student (currently in the final year of her degree - Bachelor of Cyber Security and Behaviour) with a consistent academic record and has been honored for leading with passion, strength, and kindness through many awards namely, Women in Security: Best Security Leader 2021, 7News Young Achievers Award 2021 (Semi-finalist), NSW International Student of the Year 2021 (Finalist). In her spare time, Kavika loves to read crime fiction novels from James Patterson, Agatha Christie. Takehisa is a seasoned leader with 20+ years of experience in fast-growth companies including Cisco, Amazon, and Google. Not only has he successfully led highly technical teams, but been also passionate about developing future leaders, particularly in underrepresented or marginalized groups.
After 14+ years at Cisco Technical Services where he grew from a Support Engineer to the Head of Technical Support, he joined Amazon Web Services and built AWS Support for the Japan market which has earned a great reputation as the most customer-centric support.
In MAR 2018, he joined Professional Services Organization of Google Cloud which helps customers digitally transform by addressing the toughest business and IT challenges, and is now leading the Infrastructure Modernization practice with a team of diverse talents across Japan and Asia Pacific.
Outside of work, he loves to explore the finest California wines by engaging directly with winemakers and consultants, and dreams of starting own wine business with his colleagues to produce elegant wines which people enjoy to celebrate happy moments, using technologies to constantly realize the best quality.
Anna is a Product Designer for 9 years and currently leading a growing team of Product Designers and UX Researcher in UBX, the innovations arm of the Unionbank of the Philippines. She makes sure that everyone in her team grows individually, feels safe to speak-up, has ownership of one’s work, and supports one another.
Prior to being full time in people management, she has designed digital products ranging from entertainment to FinTech applications for local companies and international clients from Malaysia, South Korea, South Africa, Australia, and Singapore.
She now uses her past experiences and lessons as guest speaker in schools, showing the students a glimpse of the joys and challenges to work in the tech industry and hopefully inspire them to one day also start their own career in design and development.
Zelle is a Computer Science graduate from University of the Philippines Baguio and currently taking her Master’s degree in Information Systems at UPOU. She does a little bit of everything: hunt down talents, write codes, handle teams, do tech talks and materializing ideas. She is currently working for a US-based company as a software engineer while working on some projects for start-up in stealth mode.
Janise leads Google's developer relations in Southeast Asia, helping developers upskill, build better, and succeed with Google. She is passionate about building a more diverse and inclusive tech industry, and actively drives women in tech empowerment programs and initiatives that raise up diverse leaders and role models.
Marla is a fourth year B.S. Industrial Engineering student studying in UP Diliman who has had an affinity towards science and technology ever since she was young. She was one of the founders and board members VP of WiTech where she co-headed one of the first student-led Women in Tech Conferences in Metro Manila.
In university, she served as the VP for Academic Affairs of UP IE Club in AY 2020-2021 where she led IE-driven consultancy projects for the Philippine Red Cross and the Office of the Vice President of the Philippines for their COVID-related initiatives as part of IEAid. She's also had several technology related internships in companies such as Zalora, Geodata, and now most recently with Microsoft as one of their Solutions Specialists for Power Platform. She loves learning and understanding different technologies and how we can leverage them to create a positive impact in this world.
As a natural story teller, she speaks at different events, including a 2020 TEDx event, where she shares about her journey in tech and her mission to be a fearless advocate promoting more women in STEM as well as using technology for the betterment of everyone.
