About this event

Passionate about technologies and traveling? Let's dive behind the scenes and explore the technical side of one of the biggest travel agencies!
On May 30 we'll host a meetup with Kiwi.com engineers about Platform and Automation stack.

Kiwi.com is an online travel agency that provides users with the cheapest flight itineraries and combinations.
Today, the company sees more than 90 million flight searches every day and employs over 2400 people worldwide.

Our speakers will share experience and problems they are facing during GCP migration, decisions, and challenges that stay behind the migration to GKE, their solution of migration automation.
Also, they will talk about how the CI/CD pipelines are organized in Kiwi to keep reliable and fast development process across the teams.

All talks will be in English.

1. GCP Migration in Kiwi
(Yurii Kyrychynskyi , Platform Engineer @Kiwi.com)
The talk will be about Kiwi.com infrastructure and developers experience. Were are we today and how our tech stack looks like? We decided to migrate most of our workloads from AWS to GKE and we will talk about our reasons. How are we preparing for this migration - from planning to tooling. How Terraform and Cookiecutters helped us in simplifying team and service on-boarding.

2. Streamline your CI
(Alex Viscreanu Full stack developer @Kiwi.com)
CI/CD is one of the main pillars of agile development. CI pipelines should be robust, and not allow deploying broken code to production, but also fast, so developers can get feedback as soon as possible and decrease the time necessary to do an emergency deployment. In this talk I'll explain some of the most common pitfalls regarding CI pipelines and how we solved them at Kiwi.com.

Participation is free upon registration!
