Workshop Summary The pandemic has attracted a great amount of public attention to Data Journalism and Data Visualisation in general. In this workshop, the participants first have the opportunity to understand what data journalism is, how data reporters work and which techniques and practices might be useful for them when working and communicating data. Then, the second part of the workshop will be hands-on. We will use Google's COVID-19 Open Data dataset on BigQuery, analyse and transform the data using SQL or Python pandas, and visualise using Google Cloud Data Studio. Note: This workshop will use Google technology - Colab, BigQuery and Data Studio - which will require a Google Account. We will ask you to share the email address you use for your Google Account before the workshop, in order to set up the exercise environment for you. Audience Takeaway
