Talk 1: "Feature Engineering in BigQuery and TensorFlow 2.0/Keras" by Global Head for Data Analytics and AI Solutions on Google Cloud @ Google

Even today, the most common machine learning problems are predictions using structured data. This talk highlights the importance of feature engineering for structured data predictions, and the challenge that this imposes in terms of training-serving skew. Basic ML concepts are described in SQL syntax of BigQuery. The talk then delves into detail how to carry out such transformations and feature engineering repeatably in Keras and TensorFlow 2.0.

Lak is Global Head for Data Analytics and AI Solutions on Google Cloud. His team builds software solutions for business problems using Google Cloud's data analytics and machine learning products. He founded Google's Advanced Solutions Lab ML Immersion program and is the author of a couple of O'Reilly books and several Coursera courses. Before Google, Lak was a Director of Data Science at Climate Corporation and a Research Scientist at NOAA.
